My new keyboard

Ok OK so I know my blog is really about my little monkey but I have to tell you about my new keyboard!!! Trav just got me a ipad dock keyboard for my ipad he got me for our anniversary! Now I can use this thing like a computer and it's the best thing ever!!!! I love it! I feel like I got a whole new computer! Christmas shopping here I come online! I feel complete again!!!! No more chicken pecking! I really do have the best hubby and he spoils me rotten

Baking cookies!

Monkey and I just made Halloween cookies and she had a blast:) she is such a little cooker:) she loves to be in the kitchen with mommy! I can't believe how much time had gone by since she was born! As much as I miss those sweet baby moments I love doing stuff like bake with her:)

Frustrated...aaargh!

Just so overwhelmed right now with Trav being gone. Lack of sleep has gotten to me I swear I am a raving you know what!!! The hard part is I don't think Trav gets why I am so upset since he has been gone! Just want to throw my hands up in the air crawl into bed sleep until he comes home!!! Say I give but that's not what moms do! As cranky and irritable as my 2 year old has been I have loved having time with her but thank god for my dad. I am so close from going crazy and he gave me an hour to myself today and took my baby to the train park! I thank god that Addison has my parents because one she loves to be with them and two my parents know when I need a little break! Sorry for the venting but no sleep makes for a crazy woman!

Sad:(

Trav is in Mexico until Monday night and I didn't expect to be so sad that he is gone! Monkey didn't want to go to bed until daddy rocked her:( it was just so sad. I sure hope his sister and family appreciate him and everything he does. Because his wife and poor baby don't like him being gone! We haven't really been apart since we had our lil princess! Time flies by every day until now so here is hoping time starts ticking faster!!!!!!

Decisions

Well I think I have finally made the decision that is best for my baby and no life manual needed:) Just her judgement and that's all I need. I have had a tough time with this decision and one I didn't want to think about but today I received a text and realized that may have been god's little nudge about what the right thing to do is. My uncle gave me the advice to pray and I think god gave me that little push you need sometimes to know what is the right thing for you to do. I will keep you updated and let you know for sure once the decision is final:)

Monday

Travis opened our pool up this weekend and monkey keeps calling it daddy's pool. I took her in it today and she said oh mommy it's daddy's pool. Yep it is baby but you can swim in it all you want! Except I think the poor baby has another ear infection. Not so happy about that. I will call and make her an appointment tomorrow.

We had dinner with my daddy-o and some good friends. We have not seen Scott and Nae for awhile and monkey was all about seeing Auntie Nae and once Nae brought out the graham crackers she was a happy little clam. Who wants noodles when you can have graham crackers and chocolate cake? Oh yeah she got all excited when she saw the chocolate cake because then it was a party:) Love that little girl!

Life's manual

So I really think you should get a manual when you come into this world or at least have classes in school how to deal with life. Everything else in life has a manual so why not life? I don't always know how to handle situations and I could use a manual these days. Just a simple how to guide. Sure would make me life easier:) Trust me there will be at least one person who will read this and have a smart ass remark, well my take on that is no one is perfect and who understands everything because I sure don't. Just frustrated with how things are with family and extended family right now and wish I had an easy solution- Again it would make life so much happier and easier:)

Monkey's new swim class

So monkey got bumped up to the next swim class and she is doing so good! We don't sing songs anymore or play with toys. We are serious and down to business now:) They put a swim belt on Addison and make her swim from one end of the pool to the other pool. Then she has to swim with her dumbbell from one end of the pool to the other then back float. They have her jumping in and going back to the side to teach her what to do if she falls in. Then we practice diving and push offs. Addison loves to push off from the side of the pool. She thinks it's a game:)

The best part of swim is getting there a little early just so she can see her new best friend Zuri. She is in the swim class before us and Addison gives her a big hug and cheers her on. It is so cute to watch. She claps her hands and says yeah baby Zuri!!!!!! I think they will be friends for life:)

Daddy's day is a coming!

And boy do we have a special day planned for Travy!!!! I am excited this year because Addison is starting to understand things:) She thinks we are throwing daddy a party and close enough! She is all about the party's these days. The girl asks us everyday my party? Nope not yet sweet baby. Just when I think we are going to teach her disappointment because her birthday party is a month away Daddy's day arrives! Yep we are all prepared!

mom's 50th birthday

My mom turned the big 5-0 on Sunday and even though she is having a hard time with it the girl looks good for her age:) Monkey and I went up to Salem to celebrate her birthday and had a family party. Trav and I are going to take her to the coast one weekend and spend the night at a casino. I'm sure she will love it and she will know how much I love her that I am taking her to the Oregon Coast when I am not a huge fan of the coast! Addison had so much fun with my mom this weekend and I am pretty sure all of my mom's party pictures of Addison:) and why not you don't get much cuter then my baby girl:) I have to say she is pretty dang cute and smart!

Well in other news we decided to redo our whole bathroom. We took on a task that is bigger then it looks but we will keep you updated!

3 day weekend!!!

It's memorial day weekend and my mom is turning the big 5-0!!!! So Monkey and I are heading up to Salem tomorrow to have a party for my mom's big day. While I am up there I am going to take a little side trip to Coach. My happy place and after hurting my knee and ankle pretty bad today I am going to go to Coach and be in my happy place and enjoy every minute of it:) But can't wait to see my mom and family up in Salem!!! Happy 50th birthday mom!

Swimming...

Addison got moved up to the next swim class tonight. Yep she is now going to the big girl class!!!! Mommy will only be in there a little bit with her the rest of the time it's her. I'm nervous but excited that she is doing so well they are moving her up.

last night

So last night Monkey was looking for her paci. I told her nope mommy won't find it for you if you want it you have to go look for it. Well she looked under the coach and the rocking chair. Then she came back into the dining room and looked under her table and chairs. She stands up looks at me and said shoot. I asked her what did you just say monkey? Shoot mamma. Shoot. Um ok don't know if we should really be saying that but it was so cute to hear her say it:)

On a whole different note I was at the doctors office yesterday and I got to talk to Addison's Dr. for a little bit. She got to see Addison in the pool the other day and was so impressed with her swimming she told me she had been telling everyone about her:) Pretty cool when even the doctor is impressed:) I started telling her how Addison points out her colors and started telling when she is sad. The doctor told me Addison is pretty advanced for her age that she is putting all that together!!!!! Yep that's right my baby is just right in fact she is pretty dang smart!

Train Park

We took our litle monkey to the train park today and she had a blast! It was a perfect sunday afternoon. Addison loves trains all of the sudden and has been putting her chairs together and saying choo choo! It's really cute:) So this morning before Trav got up she put her chairs together and was playing choo choo and said mamma choo choo sit. So it dawns on me that the train park is opened today. Well we got there at the perfect time. We went on 2 rides back to back then went to go see Thomas the Train then went for one last ride before it got crazy busy! Then we went to lunch and all of us took a long nap. It was truly the perfect day! I am grateful for my little family and how lucky we are:)

Kai's Song

So not all of you know this song but let me tell you the whole time my nephew Kai was here he sang this song. Don't really know the name of it but Addison has dubbed it Kai's Bubble:) So if you know it go ahead and sing it along out loud because I do at least 10 times a day...so here it goes.

I had a baby turtle, his name was Tiny Tim.
I put him in a bathtub just to see if he could swim.
He drank a bottle of water, he ate a bar of soap.
Now he's sick in bed with a bubble in his throat.

Such Frustrations!!

So all I want for my little monkey for her birthday is to give her a minnie mouse birthday party! You would think that would be easy but oh no!!!! I found the decorations and have purchased those but can I find a cake??? Oh no. See I don't like any of the store bought cakes and I found some pretty cakes online. I go get a quote today on them and find out it would cost me $210 to get one of these cakes made!!!! Are you kidding me for 25 people? Heck no it's for my 2 year old! So I get this bright idea that Trav and I will make her cupcakes this year. So I head on down to Michael's get decorating stuff and then to the store for cake mix and frosting. Let's just say it's a disaster! So after baking for an hour I look up online for minnie mouse cake pans only to find them for $50! Really people it's a cake for a 2 year old. So now my option is let me mom see what she can do with the cupcakes or a store bought cake. Not really excited about that option. I wish I wasn't so picky about this but I want to make sure my little girl has the best Minnie Mouse party one little girl can have. Did I mention I like to throw parties and get a little obsesive about it? Well I do but thankfully I have a great hubby and some wonderful parents that go through my crazy ideas with me:)

My knee

So I went to the orthopedic doctor for my knees today. I hurt my left knee when I ran the 10 mile for pear blossom and my right knee had been bothering me when I was training to run the 10 mile. Well good news for the right knee come to find out my knee cap just doesn't sit into the groove right when I am running. I am about 16 degrees off so I will get physical therapy for that. The doctor said it really isn't uncommon to see it in females. Bad news for the left knee. The doctor thinks I tore my miniscus in my left knee. So I have to go for an MRI and see if it's actually torn. If it is that means surgery for me. If it's not torn it means physical therapy for that knee too so I don't tear it. But until he see the MRI I can't run:( Yeah not what I wanted to hear. I pretty much have to stay off of it to prevent any further damage. So I can still exercise but basically I am limited to the stupid bike. Dr. Webb said spin class will do me good, little does he know how much I hate spin classes!!! But if that's all I will do I will do it. I will not give up working out for my stupid knee!!!!!!!!

I will keep you all updated but keep the prayers and positive thoughts that it's not torn and don't need surgery!!!!

Swim Class

So we just got back from swim class and my little monkey did so awesome! She was jumping in and going back to the side like it was no big deal but the best part was to see her dive. You now just have to tell her put your hands up and she will put her hands in the air so you just have to assist her into the pool. Once she is in the water she automatically turns and comes back to me. It's pretty cool to see! She is a little fish in the water and the last couple of weeks she has improved so much. It's funny to see how comfortable she is in the water. When she dives to the bottom she automatically pushes up and comes to the surface. Addison's teacher has been teaching her to side breathe and the last couple of weeks Addison has popped up on her own to side breathe. I don't care who you are that's really good for a not even 2year old!!!!! I am very proud of my baby. She is very confident and has no fear in the water. I'm excited to see how she does this year in our pool!!!! Which hopefully we will open soon:)

The Adventure's of Potty Training

So Addison has been interested in her big girl underwear one because it's minnie mouse and two because she can put them on herself and take them off herself. Well this morning I thought why the heck not let's put her big girl underwear on and work on this potty training thing since we are not going anywhere today....what a frustrating thing potty training is! I put the timer on for 20 minutes and every 20 minutes we would go try to use the potty. Well she tooted several times but no pee!!!! Trust me I was pumping this girl full of water just so she would have to go! But boy do I have a stubborn daughter! She did not go pee until I finally put her diaper on so we could run to town. Yep it was soaked! Then she peed once in her big girl underwear. For some reason Trav thinks this whole process should not be messy.
He was yelling from the kitchen babe she wet herself can you come get her and clean this up? She got it every where. Yes Trav I know that's why it's called potty training. Men they are so funny...right there just to point out the obvious.

Well we will continue this journey but just so you all know I have no patience so let me tell you what a frustrating day it had been for me by noon!

Mother's Day weekend....

My mom had my nephew for Mother's day weekend and we took the kiddos to the train park. They had a blast! Here are some pics my mom took:) You have to love the kid's look on the their faces while eating their eggo's and better yet you have to love monkey's hair:) That's Cariann's hair to this day!
